AGPO is Kenya's Access to Government Procurement Opportunities programme for enterprises owned by youth, women and persons with disabilities. The official programme explains that government procurement includes preference and reservation arrangements for these groups.
Registration is the starting point, not the whole bid
The AGPO portal sets out registration and qualification rules for participating enterprises and provides a certificate-verification function. A valid AGPO status can open reserved opportunities, but every tender still has its own scope, mandatory requirements and submission instructions.
When you see “reserved” on a tender
Youth, women and PWD reservations are not interchangeable.
Use the official AGPO portal to check current status rather than relying on an old PDF copy.
A reserved tender may still require licences, experience, forms, security or other tender-specific evidence.
Where to look
AGPO's own resources direct suppliers toward government procurement opportunities, while PPIP provides an AGPO tender view alongside the wider tender database. Procuring-entity and county websites can also publish notices. BidReady brings that discovery work into one radar, but the official notice remains the place to verify.
